A TRAIL CHALLENGE is a mass start
cross-country race over tracks and
trails with a difference. The course is not marked out by marshals but
is instead defined by checkpoints that are marked on a specially
made map. The TRAIL CHALLENGE arises from choosing the fastest
route between one checkpoint to the next.
|
These mass start races
REQUIRE NAVIGATION to visit a series of checkpoints along the way. Feel
free to follow other runners or enter with a friend and work together.
Basic
navigation instruction is available during registration and check in.

Race distances listed as nominal.
Point to point distance will be shorter but expect to travel
approximately the nominal distance. Everyone's race distance can vary
because there is no fixed course. You decide what is the fastest route
between checkpoints.
Those that run
slower than a 60 min 10k are asked to enter the shorter course so the
event can be completed and picked up in a reasonable time.
